The ministry of food and agriculture department has announced 232 million tones of food grains produced by the agriculture sector in the 2010-11 and around 40 million tons food grains are stored in the ware housing corporation for a proper distribution of food to the needy people. And at the same time, 26 percent people are still under the below poverty line it is announced by the Planning Commission of India.
