The Study of Nature and Characteristics of Rural Non Farm Sector in India

Abstract

There has been increase in the rural nonfarm sector in India.The rural labour markets has been showing change ,there has been shift in farm worker to nonfarm occupations in the country. There has shift from the self employed in agriculture (cultivators) and agricultural labour households to the non agricultural activities .There has some significant entry barriers for rural workers in terms of education,age and gender etc for entering the nonfarm sector.
