Abstract

Trade liberalization, characterized by the reduction or removal of trade barriers, has been a subject of great interest and debate. This research focuses on the effects of trade liberalization on domestic industries, with a specific emphasis on the manufacturing sector. The objective is to examine the implications of trade liberalization on economic indicators, employment, and competitiveness within the manufacturing sector. Through a comprehensive case study approach, this research analyzes a specific country or region that has undergone significant trade liberalization measures. The study evaluates key indicators such as production output, employment levels, investment patterns, technological advancements, and trade balance, both before and after trade liberalization. Additionally, the perspectives and experiences of industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, workers, and government officials, are considered. The findings highlight the multifaceted nature of the effects of trade liberalization on domestic manufacturing industries. While trade liberalization can lead to increased access to new markets, enhanced competition, and potential efficiency gains, it also presents challenges such as job displacement and industry decline. The research underscores the importance of strategic policies and measures to mitigate negative impacts and maximize positive outcomes.
