Abstract

India and China are close neighbours, sharing a long common land border. They are the two largest countries in the world in terms of population. Both have 17.4 per cent and 19.3 per cent of the world’s population, respectively (IMF, 2012). They are also the fastest growing economies in the world. These two countries will continue to be the engines of global economic growth in the 21st century.
