Abstract

In the history of political philosophy, no single concept has been so nebulous as socialism. Yet for the same reasons, socialism puts everyone in a quandary of sorts when trying to answer any question relating to it as ‘to be or not be’. This paper attempts to understand the dilemma surrounding the concept of socialism and see if there is any possibility of an overlapping consensus on it, if at all.
