Abstract

In Malaysian Education System, vocational schooling component is a part of the formal national education system. In Special Education, vocational is one of the skills for transition from school to work. The transition from school to work is an aspect that ordinary students face, including students learning disabilities. This study was conducted to explore the acceptance of laundry as a transition to work program involving the students with special needs in the category of learning disabilities. This study involved qualitative method that has been conducted in an Integrated Special Education Program. The respondents for this study have been chosen through purposive sampling technique method. The respondents involved in this study were main stream teachers and the parents who are using the laundry service regularly. The data for this study has been gathered through semi structured interview which was conducted with the main stream teachers and the parents. The interview data has been analyzed by using the selected themes to answer the research questions. The findings of this study showed that the interviews have shown that.
